SARAH KATHERINE LAWLESS

Sarah Katherine Lawless is an NYC-based indie folk artist creating cinematic anthems for the confused twenty-something in all of us. Growing up in a musical family in northern Virginia, Lawless was raised on a balance of ballet lessons, burnt CD-roms of The Gabe Dixon Band, David Gray, and America, and the off-key melodies of her childhood home’s upright, Cable Nelson piano.
Look What I’m Learning! is a cinematic, sharp, heartbreaking debut EP that doesn’t try to resolve itself neatly—and that’s exactly what makes it so gripping.
Each track is crafted with a rawness that feels deeply personal, yet universally familiar. From the moody, slow-burning tension of ‘counting sheep’ to the bright, openhearted warmth of ‘god you get me;’ whether seething, spiraling, or swooning; Sarah Katherine never holds back. Her songs are a rallying cry for championing past strife — and her admission of the work remaining to overcome the lingering fears and frustrations that will define her next period of growth.
Her forthcoming EP, due out in 2026, is produced by Jake Aron (Chloe Moriondo, Snailmail, Sarah Kinsley, Lutalo, Orion Sun), BAERD (Jack Van Cleaf, Angela Autumn), and Jack Harrington (Shallow Alcove, buffchick)
